Due to the interest in HOW I create my artwork I am posting the documentation on creating  „X-Strength“ here. Explore the separate steps!

Step 1 - Creating a mental idea and identifying the medium

After determining the artistic medium to use and what the artwork is about I started the initial background.

Step 2 - Creating an environment for the motive

Creating the environment for the motive takes some time - I will apply several layers. After coating the canvas the next step is to stick newspaper and prints to the canvas.

Step 3 - Creating an environment for the motive ... another layer

Covering the glued newspaper and prints with acrylic paint and starting to create a visual connection between the separate parts.

Step 4 - Creating an environment for the motive ... well....another layer

Covering the glued newspaper and prints with acrylic paint and starting to create a visual connection between the separate parts. Adding more prints and acrylic paint.

Step 5 - Creating an environment for the motive ... next layer

Starting to fill the space inbetween w/ acrylic paint and glued paper. Next step will be to add the lead motive.

Step 6 - Adding the motive

Now I am adding the main motive ... one of my favorite themes....a french Camargue taureau!

Step 7 - Working on the motive

Working on the taureau motive ....

Step 8 - Working on the motive

Have added some more black to it... created a black frame.

Step 9 - Working on the motive

Too much black. Don't want the main motive to become so dominant. Converting it back to a more initial status... Notice the difference?

Step 10 - Finetuning

Finetuning to give it the right balance....

Step 11 - Work completed!

Done! I am letting go of it - perfect point in time. This piece of art has been completed. It is now ready for sale. How did you like the documentation of single steps? Any interest on following another creation process?
